Popo and Gung Gung took Alton to the CAST Fishing Kids event at Greenlake, where scads of kids were trying their hand at fishing. The swimming area next to the Bath House Theater was cordoned off and stocked with (triploid?) trout. In the half-hour session, Alton caught the limit! He landed two nice trout — a one-pounder and a 2.2-pounder! For dinner, Popo prepared the smaller trout Chinese style (yum!) and we froze the larger one to be smoked at a later date.

Two nice and tasty fish on your first try. What fun! I hope you had a great time. Gung Gung is a master fisherman, so some day he might take you fishing for salmon. You know they get really big. Nikola would love to help you eat your catch.
