Nikola took her first tennis lessons this week at the Blue Ridge Club. She has really been enjoying it, although most of the kids there live in that neighborhood, so she hasn’t felt particularly included. But it meant that she got some new tennis skorts and we bought some racquets for the kids.

It is great that they have wanted to play tennis every evening when I come home from work (sometimes fairly late), although this often entails a lot of driving around trying to find an open court. There are nice courts in the middle of Woodland Park and on the south edge of the park. The far side of Greenlake. Also, Ballard High has good courts. There are probably many others that I have not mentioned. When their skills increase to the point that we aren’t hitting balls into the adjacent courts all of the time, we may try playing at the indoor courts at Magnusson Park. Apparently, you can reserve court times online.
This weekend, we visited Popo and Gung gung on Camano. Also visiting are Auntie Carleen and Uncle Vincent, and Kevin & Stacey and Mya and Hudson. Nikola really wanted to play tennis with Popo.
