Ms. Fulmer’s 3rd grade class production of “Geology Rocks!” was an extravagant night of song and dance (well, the kids playing the part of “magma” did a little soft shoe) and mystery, as the kids searched for the elusive Professor Rock. Well, it was a 3rd grade play. But it had all the charm of a 3rd grade play. Nikola was having a great time and appeared quite at ease as she mouthed along all of the other kids’ lines of the play.
Playing Snow White, her highlight was a solo performance of “Seven Little Miners”, about the fate of those 7 dwarvish explorers who gave up gemology and ended up seeking their fortunes elsewhere. Although she has a tendency toward shyness, Nikola projected her lines, enunciated clearly, and belted out her tune. Even more so than her backup chorus. Brava, Nikola!
