Despite an upper incisor snaggletooth and a fingernail that is falling off (from getting smooshed in a door), Nikola is really enjoying soccer this year. The girls have been practicing their passes and are starting to make some plays. Even Nikola is really going for the ball much more than she ever has.
It’s good to see Nikola enjoying her activities. There are so many things that she likes, although we’ll certainly need to start pruning some of them for next year. Already, there are conflicts between her gymnastics league and ballet, so we will need to figure out which she likes more. Chess club should be interesting, considering that she just learned this year what all of the chess pieces are. She is particularly excited by the prospect of Brownies, as many of the girls in her troop are her friends in school.
