Festive!

‘Tis the season.

The house is taking on it’s holiday form with Shaynee in full decorating mode. Holiday music is playing throughout the house. Nikola has discovered making paper snowflakes. Alton’s contribution has been saying that he loves the decorations in our house (but that counts as enthusiasm for him), although he is getting excited about cutting some out as well.

Last weekend, Nikola and daddy went to see “The Nutcracker” at the McCaw Hall. We even found street parking (always a plus) and Nikola stayed awake for the whole thing (though that meant that the girls were pretty squirrelly by the second act).

The kids are so excited about getting to see all of the grandparents in the coming weeks. If the weather in the past few weeks is any indication, I predict that we are going to have a white Christmas. Fortunately, I am better prepared this year.
