Alton’s Day Out!

Taking advantage of daddy’s last day of vacation (staycation), and with Nikola at school, Alton had a nice day out and about in Seattle with mommy and daddy. After dropping his sister off at school (which was apparently a bit tearful), we drove to Benaroya Hall for the Seattle Symphony’s Tiny Tots concert series. Afterwards, Alton claimed that he enjoyed it, although he refused to clap or dance along.

He has been asking to eat a special meal in a restaurant, so we had brunch at The Dish in Ballard. Crowded, butyummy. Alton ate nearly an entire plate of pancake and bacon.

On the way there, we passed the monorail, which mommy described to Alton as an elevated train. The concept of an “alligator train” was too much for Alton to pass up, so we then went to the Seattle Center for a monorail ride. Alton got as far as the ticket booth and decided that he really didn’t actually want to be on the train, because it might be loud. We stared at it for a while, then Alton decided he really had to ride the (decomissioned) roller coaster at the Seattle Center. Needless to say, we didn’t do that either.
