This is pretty good advice. While T was discussing strategies with Gung Gung about how to install a door fixture with that did not fit the existing pre-drilled holes (i.e., drilling another hole in the door and filling the old one), S was wisely on the phone to the company, and found that the do indeed honor their lifetime warranty. She handed me the phone, and the very nice woman asked some very simple questions to nail the exact model of the door fixture. Two minutes later, she gave a confirmation number for the replacement that was being sent.
It never hurts to call.
