Disneyland 2010!

Legoland!

Today was a trip to Legoland with the grandparents. Better than the trip to Disney last year when he was only 18 mos, Alton actually got to enjoy some of the rides at this park. He was constantly asking, “Where is popo? Where is gung gung?” Also, for the cost of a Wendy’s combo, we …

Vacation!

I always manage to be on-service the week before going on vacation (or perhaps I schedule my vacations after a call week?), so it is always pretty frantic on the last day as I try to clean up things at work as much as possible to not leave too many loose ends (and work unbilled). …

Easter extravaganza!

Easter Sunday, and the kids have had quite an extravaganza leading up to it. We took a trip to the “Triple T” (Top Ten Toys) early in the week, which is always an adventure. Although, really, they just tend to play at the train table or sit in the big wicker couch and look at …

Bernoulli, yeah!

At the conference reception, Alton absconds with a balloon and experiments with Bernoulli’s principle over an air vent.

Of course, in the meantime, the kids got a story from gramps. The big party was at …

Upgrade!

As I walked downstairs today, I saw Alton extract Shaynee’s phone from its protective case, and drop it onto the floor. Seems to work okay, but this may be part of Apple’s hidden master plan to get her to upgrade her phone.

Popo & Gung gung!

The grandparents came to visit this weekend, so the kids were pretty excited. Alton wanted to show them his umpteen smashed up Matchbox cars. Nikola changed into her various fancy dresses several times a day. Daddy came down with the same gastrointestinal virus that afflicted the kids earlier in the week. For Alton that meant …

Happy Birthday, Nikola!

Nikola turned 5 today. Of course, we didn’t get much sleep last night as Alton had a massive throw up so we took turns cleaning up while we decorated the play room. Shaynee bought some very cute paper lanterns, which we strung across the room. Then we finished with the little woodsy decals we’ve been …
